1. Worcester does not have an ‘h’ after the ‘c’.
2. The Centrum didn’t even open until 1982, so the date 1978 is completely inaccurate.
3. April 9th 1978 was a Sunday not a Saturday!!

Worcester MA is a city that is certifiably brain damaged. I know that, because I spent the first eighteen years of my life there. Aside from the tribulations of gang violence, drugs, a corrupt police department, and incapable politicians; it does have something of a positive nature to it, in the name of the Worcester Centrum (currently know as the DCU Center). I grew up with easy access to a large supply of stadium musical performances by the contemporary greats of the time such as Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz, The Cult, Rush, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jethro Tull, and Metallica. The one performance that always drew the greatest anticipation for me was the Grateful Dead. I might have been too young to know that their music sucked, but so doesn’t Primus…. and these days sucking is cool, so I’m not ashamed of my bad taste in music. Grateful Dead events were an experience not just a concert. They were an experience filled with balloons of nitrous and a variety female armpit hair mixed with a plethora of arrests. I know the atmosphere was stony, but I do at least think I remember the dates in which the band visited our city. That’s why I was surprised to find a remake of a Grateful Dead concert t-shirt at JC Penny this week that was full of type errors. Considering the typical state of mind that I had while I was attending the majority of Grateful Dead shows that I saw, I did have to second guess myself in regards to the details on the t-shirt, but they were so far from reality that I quickly came to my senses, and realized that the t-shirt must have been made as some sort of April Fools joke or something. List of Errors
