Years ago when I was treated for cancer (as noted in other blogs), I was surprised to find that the medical authorities were not interested in the cause or effect. They went thru the procedural routines of removal and review, but they didn't analyze how or why I might have been diagnosed with such a serious ailment. I assumed that if they could understand my family's medical history and my risk behavior(s), then they could realize how this disease is formulated, and they could treat it better. Maybe they understood that rudimentary polling of cancer positive patients was a waste of time, considering the fact that the future of medical therapy will include diagnosing each individual's genetic code and treating accordingly.
